Please rinse the product with tank water several times before use. Pour beneficial bacteria into the filter medium for optimal performance. Use 1 liter for 500 liters (125 US gallons) of water and 1.5 liters for 2500 liters (625 US gallons) of water. Avoid cleaning or changing all filter media at once to preserve beneficial bacteria.
